Mary had a baby boy

Last year we had the honor of watching Lily perform in her preschool Christmas program. There is nothing cuter on earth than a bunch of 2, 3 and 4 year olds dressed up as Angels, Mary, Joseph and animals singing songs. This year was Gemma's turn to perform. We have been practicing the songs for weeks and talking to her about how excited we all were to see her. As expected it was pretty hard for her to let go of me and join her classmates for the performance. She still clings to me every morning before preschool and often cries. Three months in and it hasn't worn off. She managed to extract herself from me just in time to join her pals.

This is Pastor Tim aka "Chapel Man". He led the kids in his favorite song and they all loved it.
Gemma's little friend REALLY enjoys chapel man. Gemma seems a little concerned.
She was front and center for their two songs. Mary had a baby boy (sung to the tune of Mary had a little lamb) and the Angel counting song.
They were desperate to keep up with the hand motions and follow Mrs. Becerra's lead.
Gemma did awesome. She sang her heart out and really seemed to enjoy herself.
The four year olds got to wear the costumes for their songs. The two year olds stole the show with their reindeer antlers and jingle bells. Especially the little girl that flung her jingle bell across the church and ran to retrieve it.
After the performance the kids were rewarded with snacks and juice. Gemma worked hard and scarfed her treats down. How lucky is Gemma to have her parents, both sets of Grandparents, and Great Grandma come to her Christmas performance?
We all went out to lunch after the performance to celebrate a job well done!
