Fun run and Turkey's go on strike

Lily's school did their annual fun run fundraiser a few weeks ago. The kids get so excited for it, or maybe it's excitement for the prizes they can win if they get sponsors for the run?
Lily did really well. She ran over the goal of 25 laps and finished with 34 laps. That means more money for those who sponsored her!  Her teacher is such a trooper and ran the whole time too. I think it was between 2-3 miles the kids run.
Her second grade class did a Fall play this year called Turkey's on Strike. It was really cute and funny. She played a native american.
Each child had a line to say. Hers was "The pilgrims were thankful for the harvest and for the help of the native americans. Without their help the pilgrims would have little to eat."
She lost her feather headband behind the risers just prior to her turn to speak.
At the end of the show they each came forward to pose for pictures and then the whole grade and all the parents took part in a big feast.
She loves performing and we are excited for the spring play....geology rocks!
