Old friends, new friends

You know how the girl scout song goes?
Make new friends, but keep the old,
one is silver and the other's gold!
Well, we got to spend the weekend with old friends and new! My dear friend Hillary from our Seattle days came to visit from Indiana with her oldest girl Colbie.
We met Colbie once before when she was a tiny little baby and they came out to California as a family right after we moved. We hadn't even moved into our house yet. We were over due for another visit and it was so fun for the girls to meet each other and become friends too!
After a long flight day due to ice storms in Indiana we decided a day hanging close to home and relaxing was in order. We took the girls to Dojo Boom. Our indoor trampoline park. It was a big hit.
Then we had a bite to eat sitting outside in the gorgeous sunshine before our next activity. Pedicures!
The afternoon was spent doing a lot of this! We have our own trampoline park in our backyard! I have to say,  it really gets the most use when we have friends over. There was a lot of hanging out playing Barbies while Hillary and I had a chance to catch up.
The next day we took in a morning show at the movie theater. We all loved the new Paddington movie. Then what trip to California would be complete without a trip in In-n-out. We never need an excuse to go there. It was Barbie weekend, the girls played Barbie for hours and hours which is pretty funny because that's not their usual go-to.
Then of course we had to go to the beach.  We went to Ventura by the pier for the playground and pretty views.
Showing off our pedicures in the sand.

Some seriously silly faces!
It wasn't warm enough for swimming so we had to settle for the pretty sunset and making goofy faces.

We all had such a great time and the girls can't stop talking about each other. We are definitely going to have to make these get togethers happen more often. I think a trip to Indiana is going to have to be in our future too!
